Kalbarri Skywalk Opening 2020

Kalbarri Skywalk Opening 2020

04 December 2019

If you're afraid of heights, look away

The highly anticipated $24 million Kalbarri Skywalk is almost complete and due to open in Easter 2020. The two suspended platforms extend 25m and 17m over the cliffs' edge offering unprecedented views of the Murchison River Gorges.

This new superb attraction at the Kalbarri National Park will further cement Kalbarri as an international destination to visit and holiday.  We may be slightly biased but we believe it might even become Australia's 'must see' attraction!

What else is there?

  • Environmentally friendly Kiosk (operates on an 'off-the-grid' energy/power system)
  • Toilets
  • Shaded shelters
  • Car and bus parking
  • Full time ranger to assist

Thinking of visiting?

Kalbarri is located around 485km North of Perth in the mid-West region of Western Australia. The Kalbarri National Park itself surrounds some 80kms of the lower reaches of the Murchison River resulting in beautiful gorges of white and red banded sandstone. Most famous of course is the Natures Window which can be seen from the new Kalbarri Skywalk.

More about the Kalbarri National Park

The inland gorge sites of the Kalbarri National Park (including the new Kalbarri Skywalk) are open from 6am to 6pm daily, at a cost of $15 per vehicle (carrying up to 12 passengers).

All coastal sites of the Kalbarri National Park are free to visit and easily accessible.

The Kalbarri National Park is a day use only park with no camping allowed. We do strongly advise all visitors carry their personal supply of water as no fresh water is available in the park until the opening of the Skywalk's kiosk in early 2020.

First look at the highly anticipated Kalbarri Skywalk

We love this virtual video showcasing the 100m high skywalks and the kiosk and can't wait to upload real-life footage early next year once we've had the opportunity to walk the platforms.  Stay tuned for more footage.
